Availability
Three stars does not accurately reflect the rating this hotel deserves. The accommodations were very poor and I would give it a two-star rating at best.

Very nice motel, located very near Lake Tahoe and many interesting places in South Lake Tahoe, especially great restaurant: Fire+Ice :) It was the cheapest one from all motels we stayed in during 3 weeks tour around CA. Apart from price, there was high speed free internet with no limits for devices per room. What is more, continental breakfast was much better than anywhere else. It consisted of: muffines, cakes, tea, coffe, juice, dried crunberries, milk, cornflakes, hot chocolate! In comparison to other continental breakfast we ate, it was wonderfull!!! Room was very clean.

It was a real bargain, however the room smelled strongly of perfume or cleaning solution that had a scent, it was overpowering. Please remember that some guests are sensitive to perfume.

Classic motel from the 1970's. Basic rooms with paneling and bad pillows, but the owner was very accomdating and very nice, breakfast was basic but fine. Don't have high expectations and you won't be disappointed. The hot tub was basic but great after a long day of skiing.
I got a room with broken heat the first night and the owner got up at 3:00 AM to try to fix it and offered me a different room first thing the next morning.

Was priced well below other Hotels in the same vacinity. Good value for its location. Not a Four Star Hotel but good quality for its price.
Shower Head leaked. Many of the T.V. Channels had poor reception (grainy picture).

Good location, very good value, felt very safe, free beach passes.
some other motels nearby have been closed down, looks like a building boom in the area was planned but the economic downturn has put it on hold. motel is a bit worn but price was very reasonable, no fridge in room.

I was very surprised by the value of this property. I would give it a 5 star except for the age of the hotel. It deserves a 3 star. Sheets were clean the water was hot. I had a refregerator (requested) and even a coffee maker. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Friends staying in surrounding 5 stars were impressed. Even a small breakfast of juice, coffee and muffins. If you are looking for an inexpensive, great place to stay....this is the one. Cindy

The carpet has come apart from the tackstrip in the bathroom, you are damn lucky i'm not suing your firm from stepping on it, if the tackstrip nail would have punctured my skin I would have. I put a towel over it so my husband and kid would not step on it like I did. You really need to fix stuff like that it's a huge liability and cheap to fix. Call All About Flooring they do repairs like that 209/825-1018 also, there were a couple people who sat in their rooms with the door propped open with a chair while they drank and partied all night. Staying in a non smoking room did not work when the people right below were smoking all night with their door open. I had to close our window to keep the smoke from wafting into our room.

Friendly staff, good price and location. Free internet access, movie channels. Clean.
Needs various minor repairs. Noise could be an issue due to the nature of these motel rooms. I would say the same for most motels anywhere. It was not, however, an issue for me.
